Sublime Final Newsletter / Nov 2024

We are here … SUBLIME reached its end and we are proud to present you the final update on our journey towards a more sustainable future using sulfide-based all-solid-state batteries for electromobility.

Deliverables

Recently the final deliverables have been submitted and you can access all of them now through our
website. A total of 41 documents are available for you to (re-)explore our developments and innovations.

Conferences & Events

During the last newsletter, SUBLIME was presented in a lot of events, some highlights are mentioned below:

General Assembly Meetings

The 8th, 9th and final General Assembly Meetings were held in Braunschweig (GER), Aachen (GER) and Bordeaux (FR) at the facilities of TU Braunschweig, FEV, and SAFT, respectively. Updates on the ongoing work packages were given and discussions leading to promising strategies on the continuation of the project were held.

SUBLIME @ TRA 2024 Conference

On the 15th – 18th of April the TRA 2024 Conference was held in Dublin (Ireland). The TRA Conference focuses on the achievement of EU-funded projects in road transport and our coordinator – FEV presented and discussed ongoing research from SUBLIME.

SUBLIME @ Enlit Europe 2024

The Enlit Europe event was held from 22th to 24th of October in Milan, Italy (Enlit Europe

2024). Jens Ewald (FEV) and Artur Tron (AIT) presented SUBLIME in a speaking

engagement and dedicated project booth in the EU Project Zone to discuss the future of

sulfide-based all-solid-state batteries for the automotive industry and how it contributes

to the green energy transition.

SUBLIME’s Stakeholder Meeting

A Stakeholder Meeting on All-Solid-State Battery Technologies was held online on 26th of September 2024. Many thanks again to all speakers and participants for coming together on one (virtual) table and discussing the present and future of sulfide-based all-solid-state batteries under the Horizon 2020 programme.

37th Topical Meeting of the International Society of Electrochemistry

The International Society of Electrochemistry had its 37th topical meeting from 9-12th of June 2024 in Stresa (Italy). This meeting provided an opportunity for energy conversion and storage scientists to discuss and share their latest work (https://topical37.ise-online.org/). Julia Amici (UPOLITO) participated with a poster presentation, discussing results from SUBLIME related to the pseudo 2D (P2D) continuum model that has been developed to predict and study the electrochemical performances of solid-state cells. - Modelling of lithium-ion battery with sulfide-based solid-state electrolyte.

Publications

A lot of work in SUBLIME was dedicated to disseminating the innovative work and obtained results for a broad audience, including the scientific community. A total of 14 peer-reviewed publications could be published during the project lifetime. You can find them all compiled on the SUBLIME
website.

Feel free to check them out if you want to have some more insight into the different topics that have been treated recently by our consortium partners

Meet the TEAM

The Meet the TEAM section on the project homepage has been updated, featuring now most of our partners. Due to internal changes we unfortunately could not interview all our colleagues but the work of all the partners contributing to the success of SUBLIME are sure to be acknowledged. Find out about their role in the project and what it means for them to work in the field of battery science. You can read all interviews on our website!
