What do you like about science?

Science is the most reliable measure for solving current problems and alleviating future challenges, it could play key roles especially for environment degradation due to global warming, environment pollution, etc.

If you had not become a scientist, what would you be today?

I might work as a business manager focusing on introducing new technologies to society for a better life and future.

What is your favorite place at work? Outside work?

For scientific work, laboratory is my favorite place which I could design, handle and watch what is to happen next within or out of my expectation, which are both interesting to me.
After work, I like to do some sports such as badminton, which serves as a refreshing way physically and mentally.

What is your role in the SUBLIME project?

I do some microstructure investigation of synthesized electrolyte particle and membranes with different technical routes by colleague, and try to find the correlation between microstructure and element distribution via EDAX to the processing parameters.

How do you think will the results of SUBLIME contribute to a more sustainable world? How will the world be different after SUBLIME?

The work in SUBLIME is devoting to the development of high energy density all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles, which helps the realization of green transportation and reduce CO2 emission, and contributes to a sustainable world. A world driven by high powerful all-solid-state batteries with high energy density and high intrinsic safety developed in SUBLIME project will surely be greener, more sustainable and comfortable to human being as well as the earth.

What research are you conducting at your institution and how is it applied in the SUBLIME project?

I’m working also on all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries in AIT, my focus is mainly related to processing of solid electrolyte film and the assembly of different components to build all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries. Although my focused field is polymer-based hybrid solid electrolyte, my work on processing optimization, abuse tests and post-mortem analysis of all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries all could help to accelerate the work in SUBLIME project.
