Dissemination results of SUBLIME on SEABAT workshop

One of the most attractive areas for battery applications is the sea sector. Here efforts are focused on the development of battery systems for small and large waterborne applications. The SEABAT  project aims to significantly reduce the cost of large marine battery systems above 1 MWh by developing a modular all-electric maritime hybrid battery concept.

In particular, solid-state electrolytes are being used for high-energy/performance aqueous battery systems. The developing technologies in the solid state battery can be considered as potential candidates for the battery for water-based applications. Assistant Professor Julia Amici from Politecnico di Torino has presented the directions of SUBLIME at the SEABAT workshop in the presentation “Solid state batteries, moving to the future“.
